Refund policy

Last updated 30 July 2026

Read this first

This is a plain-English starting draft written for a small US service business. It is not legal advice, and it has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Before relying on it — particularly if you operate outside the US or handle regulated data — have an attorney review it.

How to claim a refund

Email greighlin@hitch-marketing.com with the word “refund”. No phone call, no retention conversation, no form to fill in, and no explanation required. Refunds are issued within five business days of that email and typically settle back to your card in a further five to ten business days depending on your bank.

Mechanically, the setup fee is charged as a line item on your first invoice, so a setup refund is issued as a partial refund against that charge rather than as a separate transaction. You will see it as a credit from Stripe.

The three situations that trigger a refund are listed further down this page.

What is not refundable

  • Monthly fees for a month already served — the work for that month has been done.
  • The second half of the setup fee, which is only ever invoiced after your site is live and the responder demo has passed.
  • Ad spend. That money went to Meta or Google from your own account and I never held it. Refunds of ad spend, where possible at all, are between you and the platform.
  • Third-party costs paid on your behalf with your approval, such as a domain registration.

Ad spend stays separate from these fees at every stage — the reasoning is set out in the terms of service.

The three that trigger a refund

These are commitments about my own work, not about market results, which is why they can be guaranteed at all.

  • Site not live in 21 days — first half of setup back.
  • No responder demo before we spend your ad budget — setup back and that month free.
  • Day-30 report with no cost-per-lead number — that month is free.

They attach to every plan on the pricing page, at whichever setup fee and monthly fee that plan carries.

If you simply change your mind

Cancel by email and it ends at the close of the month you already paid for — nothing further is charged. If you cancel after the first half of setup is paid but before work has started, that half comes back in full. Once the build is genuinely underway, it does not, unless one of the three promises above was missed.

The same answer in shorter form, alongside the other questions people ask before signing anything, is on the FAQ.

Chargebacks

Please email before disputing a charge with your bank. Every situation above is resolved faster by email than by a chargeback, and I have never argued with anyone about a refund they asked for in writing.
